Most importantly: quality time to spend with your animal companion whilst an angmoh photographer captures your special bonding time mostly candid moments. We will spend the first 5 minutes to get to know your pet, get them used to the camera and review our plan for the day. This is to make sure your pawpal is comfortable throughout the shoot and we align on any cues from their behavior that suggest to take a small break (i.e. looking sideways, panting, becoming non-responsive to commands, etc)

Thereafter, it will be a combination of full body photos, action photos, glam closeups and any photos showing you and your furbaby having a great time! Periodically, we may pause for a brief moment to review photos and/or rehydrate - especially neccessary during outdoor shoots!

For dogs, I usually recommend outdoor photo shoots as we would to capture them both goofing off and being in an environment that allows them to roam free - off or on-leash.

As for cats, it depends on whether you have gotten them used to being on-leash and visiting outdoors. If your cat hasn't been outdoors before or shown visible signs of stress, a photo shot in the comfort of your home may be the better option.

As I drive, I am fairly flexible with locations within Singapore. I generally recommend the below locations:

• Pasir Ris Beach
• Changi Beach
• Coney Island
• Punggol Northshore
• Marina Barrage
• Kallang Riverside
• Gardens by the Bay

Photo shoots beyond Singapore, e.g. Johor & other parts of Peninsular Malaysia can be discussed at an additional transportation fee and require longer advance notice.

For mini sessions (Kaypoh A Bit), you can expect a turnaround time of less than 3 days after the session .

For longer sessions (Shiok at Home | Jalan Jalan Adventure), you will receive the photos of your choice within 7 days after selecting your photos in the client gallery.

Expedited turnaround times can be arranged an additional charge.

I recommend to prepare your pet's favourite treats, toys and any other item that may get them excited (i.e. squeaky balls). Of course, ensure you and your pawfriend stay hydrated and don't go hungry. Also, consider what vibe you would like to portray during your photo session and pick your and/or your pet's outfits accordingly. Any additional props (i.e. picnic mat & basket) can also be nice to add-on.

For outdoor photo shoots, don't forget sunblock, mosquito repellant and anything that may relieve itchiness - ants can sting! Long trousers may be a good idea, especially in foresty areas.

For indoor photo shoots, identify ahead of time where you would like photos to take place. For cat photo shoots, this would typically be by the window, their favourite napping place or cat tree. Remove any 'extra' items that you would rather not see in the photo. Pro tip: blankets, cushions & small lamps make for a Pinterest-worthy photo shoot!
